Since the beginning in 1930 a love for seafood turned into a business for the Simon family; It started with La Pêcherie de Belle-Anse with André Simon over 85 years ago selling and serving the freshest seafood caught in Belle-Anse.
Honoring this tradition, his son Anthony Simon opened La Filière Congelée 50 years ago, to continue working with local fishermen to catch the very best for his clientele in Port-au-Prince and abroad.
The seafood is sourced off the south coast of Haiti and brought back to the headquarter to be "blast frozen" so the quality can be preserved before being sold to hotels, restaurants, grocery stores and abroad. La Filière Congelée has been for the past 50 years sourcing its seafood responsibly.
Tradition expended with Chef Krystele Soray, "Thony’s” daughter in-law, when she opened a retail seafood market / restaurant, giving access to people the benefit of buying the best quality seafood there is at a great price, whether it be in the seafood market section or the restaurant. Being environmentally conscious, and wanting to leave a "Green Haiti" for her kids and the next generations to come, Chef Krystele provides her customers with compostable take out packages and bags, an issue dear to her heart.
